Welcome to Middlesbrough SCITT | Online

Middlesbrough SCITT is a partnership of 7 schools, working collaboratively to deliver high quality Initial Teacher Training.  The lead school is Macmillan Academy in Middlesbrough and all the partner schools are Middlesbrough schools with the exception of one in Redcar & Cleveland.

Partnership schools are committed to the development of trainees who have the necessary professional skills to enable them to become effective, qualified teachers in the 21st century.

All of the partnership schools have considerable experience of supporting trainee teachers.  The schools are of a diverse nature, providing trainees with the opportunity to spend time with specialist teachers in a variety of settings, including Primary and Post 16.

Our one year post-graduate course leads to the award of QTS and PGCE in shortage subjects; ICT, Maths or Science.  Centrally taught training is based at the Macmillan Academy Learning Centre with its excellent adult learning facilities.
