Mark Nicholson - ICT TraineeTeaching ICT is a rewarding and exciting career, in a dynamic sector of education. Middlesbrough Scitt provides an ICT training course in collaboration with a variety of schools across the Tees Valley. This allows the opportunity to gain experience in the teaching of one or more of the new courses, such as the Edexcel DIDA course, the OCR Nationals course, or one of several GCSE courses.


All trainees will have a relevant ICT background, enabling them to train to teach Secondary ICT at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. In addition all trainees will have the opportunity to observe some Post-16 lessons.
A thorough training programme developed in conjunction with the LEA, will enable trainees to develop the necessary skills in planning lessons and the pedagogy of teaching ICT.


Trainees are kept regularly updated with news and developments from the SCITT through the use of our dedicated website and forums.
