Entry Requirements

 

Qualifications:

• GCSE Grade C or above in English Language, Mathematics and preferably a Science (or recognised equivalent qualification)
• Degree or recognised equivalent in a relevant subject

It is expected that you will have:

• Comprehensive and up to date knowledge and understanding of the subject you wish to teach, including an awareness of the National Curriculum content
• Experience of working with children in the 11-16 age range, preferably including some recent time spent in a secondary school

Police Check:

Mandatory Criminal Records Bureau check to verify that you do not have a background which would render you unsuitable to work with children.

Health Check:

You will be required to satisfy DfES requirements with regard to your medical fitness to teach.
